General rental conditions

1. Data Protection

Company Costa Rent a car recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of personal data collected on this website. Therefore, Costa Rent a car is careful with personal information, taking steps to keep it secure and ensure it is used only for our legitimate business purposes.

2. Reservation

After a reservation is made on this booking engine, when your reservation is confirmed, Costa Rent a car will send you an email with the voucher (confirmed RESERVATION) within 24h so that you will have all the necessary information prior to your arrival. Costa Rent a Car only uses your e-mail address for sending you a voucher. We only use your phone number to contact you if there are any questions about your reservation. If you need to make any alterations to your reservation, you must contact Costa Rent a Car by e-mail clearly informing of the precise details of such alteration. Costa Rent a Car does not guarantee that the necessary alterations can be processed. As a condition of your use of this booking system, you undertake Costa Rent a Car that you will not use this booking system for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by or contrary to Conditions. In particular, by proceeding to access this booking system, you agree:

* Not to use the booking system to make any speculative or false reservation;

* Not to use the booking system to research rental vehicle provider or our pricing;

* Not to use the name Costa Rent a Car for commercial purposes without obtaining prior written permission from Costa Rent a Car

3. Booking cancellation

Every reservation must be canceled 48 hours prior to the arrival time. If a reservation is created less than 48 hours before the pickup date, the potential prepayment sum is not refunded in case of cancellation.

4. Requirements for Customer

Customer shall be aware that all children (regardless of their age) are counted as passengers and must have an individual seat. The number of passengers cannot go beyond the seating capacity of the vehicle. Transportation of extra passengers is not allowed. In this case, the driver has the right to refuse service. Customer must be responsible for entering a correct mobile phone number and must be in touch at the time of arrival. Smoking and drinking are prohibited in the vehicle. In case of violation, the driver has the right to stop the car and ask Customer to leave.

5. Pick up and drop off

Flight Information – for airport pick-up, it is essential that Costa Rent a Car receives the correct flight number and arrival time. You can do this either online or by phone. If this information is not available at the time of reservation, please ensure that you inform us at least 2 days prior to your departure, via email or phone. The driver waits for the Customer in the pick-up location holding a sign with the Customer’s last name on it.

6. Privacy statement

We are committed to provide service of protection of our customer’s personal data in a way that we collect only essential basic information about our buyers that are necessary for fulfilling our obligations. We also inform our customers about the way we collect information and regularly give customers an option about how their information will be used, including the possibility to decide whether their name should be included or omitted from the lists used for marketing campaigns. All user information is strictly guarded and are available only to the employees who need that information for completing the job. All our employees and business partners are responsible to follow the principles of confidentiality protection.

7. Complaints

All complaints and or problems must be received in writing form within 7 days after drop-off date. Costa Rent a Car cannot process complaints made outside of this period.

8. Basics included in the price

Customer support, border crossing, additional driver, child seat.

9. Extras

Portable WiFi, out of hours fee (20 EUR per service).

10. Legal driving age

Adult must be 21 years old in order to hire a car.

11. Required documents

Driving licence, passport.

12. Insurance

The CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), TP (Theft Protection) are included in the price. Rental will normally include collision damage & theft protection waivers. In the event that your liability for damage is determined by the police, the maximum contribution to the damage is EUR 500. Theft waiver provides coverage for the theft or damage resulting from attempted theft of the vehicle, its parts and accessories up to their full value. In the event that the customer has caused the damage on the vehicle by negligent driving or driven under the influence of drugs or alcohol he/she will be liable for the full cost damage.

13. Full insurance

Based on request, SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) Casco Insurance Purchasing this insurance is optional.
By purchasing this insurance, liability for damage and theft of vehicles is reduced to zero, i.e. there is no participation in damages and theft. However, if the User has not reported the damage to the police, they will be held directly responsible for the full amount of damages and theft.
This insurance does not cover damage to the interior of the vehicle, damage to tyres and wheels, damage to car glass, damage to the lower landing gear, broken and/ or lost key, damage caused by the misfuelling of fuel and damage caused knowingly or negligently. All the listed damages will be charged to the User in full. 0 tolerance on drugs and alcohol.

14. Procedures in case of accident, damage and theft of vehicles

In case of damage and theft of the vehicle, the User is obliged to immediately inform the Lessor and the Police about the event and to act on their instructions. The user is obliged to remain at the scene of the traffic accident until the arrival of the police, provided that he can be temporarily removed solely for the purpose of providing assistance to third parties or if they personally need medical assistance.

15. Border crossing

Travelling outside Montenegro is allowed but with a written permission and in agreement with the Lessor when picking up the car.

16. Deposit

No deposit.

17. Full to full

You will receive a car with a full tank at the pick-up, and you have to return it with a full tank. Otherwise, additional charge will be applied, if car is returned with empty tank.

18. Cleanliness policy

Extremely dirty interior of the car will be charged when dropping off, in the amount of 50 EUR.

19. Parking and traffic fines are client's responsibility

20. Loss of keys and vehicle's documentation is charged 500 EUR.
